    work

    Sunday, October 12, 2008, 10:39 PM [General]

Here are some photos of the work I do:

The legs on the vanity were bright brass to begin with. The erte statues are waiting to be repaired to be sent back to the customer. This involves different types of repairs and conservation techniques.

I made the sun shine! It was dull brass and I had to polish the metal to a mirror finish.

These doors are in a kitchen in a ritchies home. They were mill scale blue/black. I matched the colors on the bare steel ground spots and then made up some sparkle wax to color them the brown sheen and catch the light. That is why it looks blue/black at some angles and bronze at others.

    whales and elephants 2

    Sunday, October 12, 2008, 10:21 PM [General]

Later, I told my girlfriend about the dream. I had some ideas, but it seems that some of her energy had came out in my dream subject matter of an esoteric class she took that night.

    My interpretation:

The whales are spirits that have never had bodies in human form (maybe angels never on earth)

The elephants are spirits that have taken human form and have an agenda in the world.

The sea is the spirit realm.

The ideas my girlfriend added from her class were the elephants might have been the nephlem. They made giant people and their descendents are some that are in power in the government now and the republican symbol is the elephant.

This was kinda cool to me. Thanks for sharing ideas and information!

    whales and elephants

    Saturday, October 11, 2008, 10:51 AM [General]

I had a dream that me and my brother went to the ocean. As we walked down to the sea, 5 whales apeared. I know they were whales because their flukes came out of the water. As I watched them and tried to take a picture with my cameraphone, more started to come twoards the shore. The ones that were in front of us turned and swam further out to sea. In a bit, the waters in front of us were filled with the backs of what looked like whales. Then at once, elephants started to come out of the water! They walked from the sea onto dry land and seemed purposeful and angry/stern at the same time. They came out of the water like ants. The waters resided far into the distance and all that was infront of us was sand.

My brother said "i dont get the water thing."

I told him "maybe elephants cause high tide with displacement and when they get out, it becomes low tide." I really didnt know.

The whales were still out at the edge of the water and people went down to play with them as the elephants disappeared into the city.

Any Ideas of what this might mean?

    Observatory

    Sunday, October 5, 2008, 11:27 AM [General]

I went to the observatory in Griffith park yesterday. I had never went inside as it was being worked on when i went before. It was so cool! The pictures of space and stuff with the models was ok, but the building itself and the art was awesome! It was built in the transition period of the 30's when we were switching from Art deco to the more economized Bauhaus movement. Even so, the deco castings and carvings are beautiful. The dome painting is one example of the great murals there.

It has much astrology mixed with astronomy and shows the examples of where we use to use myth to teach about the universe. Its free and i highly recommend going.
